WEEKLY SCRIPTURE FOR CONTEMPLATION
Genesis 3:14-15

14The Lord God said to the serpent,“Because you have done this,
cursed are you above all livestock
and above all beasts of the field;
on your belly you shall go,
and dust you shall eat
all the days of your life.
15I will put enmity between you and the woman,
and between your offspring and her offspring;
he shall bruise your head,
and you shall bruise his heel.”

How is this text prophetic? How is v. 15 fulfilled in the Person and Work of Jesus Christ? Who is the “offspring” that the text finally points to?

Commandment 4.png
 HAM DISHONORS HIS FATHER, NOAH (GENESIS 9)
———————
You shall honor your father and your mother ‹that it may be well with you and you may live long upon the earth›.
  What does this mean?
  Answer: We should fear and love God so that we may not despise or anger our parents and masters, but give them honor, serve them, obey them, and hold them in love and esteem.
