BAPTISM, FIRST COMMUNION, CONFIRMATION

In St. Matthew’s Gospel (28:18-20) we read:

“…Jesus said to [the disciples], All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”

Here Jesus provides the Church with her most fundamental duties as she participates in the mission of the Holy Spirit: Baptizing and Teaching the Faith.

Lebanon Lutheran Church provides for the Baptism of infants and adults, always to be accompanied by ongoing training in the faith which may lead to First Communion and Confirmation.

If you are a parent who is considering Holy Baptism for your child, or an adult who is curious about Christian faith, Pastor Porter will happily provide suitable opportunities for questions and instruction.

We will rejoice with our Father in heaven over all who are born again by water and the Spirit and joined to the Body of Christ!
