Our Logo reflects our faith according to the Gospel and the Word of God:
The Way of God leads through the Sacred Scriptures, where the cross and a cedar of Lebanon are rooted and growing. The path is through a field of “much green grass” (St. Mark 6:39), where the Church may sit and wait upon the teaching of the Lord Jesus Christ. The Bible, the written Word of God, tells of the central saving mystery of the cross – the death and resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ (1 Cor 1:18). This is the “Good News”, the Gospel of salvation by Christ’s work on behalf of a fallen and condemned humanity.
From this divine source and means, the Church of Jesus Christ grows and matures into sons and daughters of the King. Through the means of grace, they become citizens of the Kingdom of God and members of the body of Christ, the Church. There is no other valid source of Christian proclamation, and no higher authority than the Gospel as it is known in the canonical Scriptures of Old and New Testaments. Above the cross and cedar are shafts of divine light from heaven. The Church of God is divinely nourished as branches of the vine (Jn 15:5) and receives divine illumination and energy for Christian life and the mission of the Church (Eph 1:18).
